L-tyrosine
L-tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid that plays a central role in thyroid function. This amino acid is a basic building block of the thyroid hormones thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), and also helps the body manage stress.
Advantages:
Synthesis of thyroid hormones: L-tyrosine is the raw material for thyroid hormones, which are converted into T3 and T4 hormones with the addition of iodine. These hormones regulate metabolism, energy levels and overall hormonal balance.
Supports stress management: L-tyrosine is a precursor for the synthesis of the neurotransmitters dopamine, adrenaline, and noradrenaline, which are responsible for energy levels and stress responses. Stress can negatively affect thyroid function, so L-tyrosine can support stress reduction.
Natural sources: high-protein foods, such as: meats (chicken, beef, pork), fish, eggs, dairy products, legumes (such as lentils, beans), nuts and seeds.
